Country Estate

Undulating Valley, Meon Valley

When a breathtaking backdrop such as this one here in Hampshire is your blank canvas, the designer is faced with the challenge of how to enhance the view. With the garden sited on a rolling south facing slope, it made sense to flatten levels and divide up the spaces into individual pocket gardens - each being linked with an arch / gate or a sweep of jet green grass. As you move through from lawns, terraces, rose and vegetable gardens, the complexity gradually fades out towards the borrowed landscape and enhances the undulating fields and woodland. A garden which requires full time maintenance by a professional team and enjoyed by the owner who has a strong vision and hands-on appreciation.
